Illinois Notary Training
Welcome! We specialize in training and education for Illinois Notaries Public and their Supervisors.
We provide on-site training for company employees at your location, and we cover the entire State of Illinois. We also have on-line courses available for individuals looking for information and training, as in-house trainings are no longer being offered.
New Upcoming Illinois Notary Law Changes will Impact Services: Please ensure you are able to take any classes offered:
With the new notary law changes expecting to hit the State of Illinois on July 1, 2022, it is imperative now more than ever for notaries to be updated on the changes that have happened over the last several years. Notaries should have training yearly.
We will be offering training through June, 2022. The changes being implemented by the State WILL impact our training services effective July 1.
AFTER JULY 1ST, 2022, STATE TESTING IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO BECOME A NOTARY PUBLIC.
New notaries who apply for a commission beginning July 1st will need to have their training and test completed by a vendor-approved notary training facility. Notaries who are up for renewal after July, 2022 will also be required to have the vendor-approved notary training and test.
As of now we are unsure if we will be going through the process to become one of these approved vendors, as the State is only offering two ways for trainings to be conducted, and neither of them are the services we offer (on-site at the employer's location or live webinar.) We have corresponded with the Secretary of State to see if the way we train can be part of the curriculum.
In the meantime, I'm afraid there will be a limitation on who can take our notary training class. Here are the parameters:
If the staff is a new notary, already received their commission, or will receive their commission before July 1, 2022, they may take our training.
If the staff is a commissioned notary who has a renewal date in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026, they may take our training. Under the new law, training certificates will only be valid for 90 days after receipt, so notary renewals occurring in 2023 will need to take the new State training and test next year. They should not take the renewal test until they are within their 60 days of commission renewal.
If the staff will be applying for a new commission and submits their application prior to June 1st, 2022, they may take our training.
Staff who want to be a notary but who will not apply until after June 1st, 2022 may NOT take our training.
Notaries who have a commission that will expire after June 1st, 2022 through December 31, 2022 may NOT take our training.
